Debbie is currently the President of Chef Alberto Gourmet Foods, as well as the Director of Marketing for a 5 star resort hotel in Playa del Carmen, Mexico called Club Caracol Village. Debbie is from Chicago, Illinois where she graduated from Loyola University with a degree in Communications. She began her radio broadcast career there in 1978 at WLUP FM, "The Loop" after studying abroad at the Rome Center in Rome, Italy. "I moved to Houston in 1980 and at the request of the legendary (Howdy Pad’nah) Dickie Rosenfeld, joined radio station KILT FM and there I was for the last twenty one years." Debbie is a graduate of the Leadership Music Class of 2000 and was on the Broadcast Day Committee for the Leadership Class of 2001 as panel moderator. Debbie was named one of "The 10 Most Influential Program Directors in Country Radio" by Radio Ink Magazine in February of this year and "Best Program Director in Houston" 2000 at the March of Dime’s ‘Achievement in Radio Awards.’ Prior award nominations include Billboard’s "Program Director of the Year", Academy of Country Music (ACM) and Country Music Association (CMA) "Radio Station of the Year", and a nomination for the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) year 2000 ‘Marconi’ Country Radio Station of the Year. She was a member of the Country Radio Seminars (CRS) Agenda Committee in 1997 and 1998, and is a longtime member of the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music. She also coordinated the yearly Infinity radio stations pre-broadcast interviews from Nashville for the CMA’s and from Los Angeles for the ACM’s. "A highlight of my career was to present the (1997) Academy of Country Music award for ‘Radio Station of the Year’ along with Doug Supernaw and John Anderson live from the Universal Amphitheater on NBC TV." Houston’s Mayor Lee P. Brown recently honored Debbie by proclaiming December 9, 1998 ‘Debbie Brazier Day’ for her "contribution to broadcast excellence." Debbie is active in several charitable organizations. She was chairperson for the 2001 "Tracy Lawrence Golf Classic" benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She is a member of the host committee for the Houston Children’s Charity’s Annual Gala and co-chairperson for the charity’s fundraising "Smoker" held annually at Tony’s Restaurant. She is the chair of the Publicity Committee for the Houston Heart Association’s "Heart Ball" in addition to all of her work with The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo which supports youth and education. Debbie is married to Clayton Glyn Brazier, the founder of Atlantic Pacific Communications, Inc. and a director of Houston Children’s Charity. In addition to caring for their two Shih Tzu’s (Oreo and CoCo) she enjoys golf, scuba diving, skiing, snow mobiling and traveling.
